The 2020 Martin Luther King Day Talent Show of Boulder is a celebration of the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. As such, its goal is to bring the community of Boulder together for a night of dance, and music, and excitement as well as raise funds for:

Also, each year the program features local talent including dancing, recitals, comedy and soul. This year we are proud to boast that local reggae legends: One Drum will headline the program. As part of the festivity we will have an Exhibit Hall.

About
This event is designed to show audience members the value of celebrating an American Hero, increase the range of diverse celebrations in the community, and raise funds for the Safehouse Progressive Alliance for Nonviolence (SPAN). SPAN is a human rights organization committed to ending violence against adults, youth and children through advocacy, support, education and community organizing . It’s also an opportunity for performing artist to express their appreciation for this fallen civil rights champion. For it was Martin Luther King show said: Almost always, the creative dedicated minority has made the world better. The Showcase is open to all ages. Participants and Sponsors were all selected with that in mind.

Performers
The purpose of the event is to celebrate the legacy of this fallen Civil Rights Hero and to bring our community together for an evening of cheer. It is also a great way to bring community awareness to your ensemble’s activities. As a performer your contribution will bring joy to audience members and honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King.
The event takes place on January 20, 2020 at the Avalon Ball Room in Boulder (6185 Arapahoe Rd, Boulder) and will run from 6:30 to 8:30. This year production will benefit SPAN: The Safe House Progressive Alliance for Non-Violence.
